Established in 1956, National Bike Month is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling — and encourage more folks to give biking a try. As part of National Bike Month, the MPO will celebrate Bike to Work Day (BTWD) on Friday, May 17, 2019.
BTWD encourages people from all walks of life to bike to work. We thank them for doing so at early morning BTWD Energizer Stations where we offer swag bags, coffee, breakfast items, and the chance to win larger raffle prizes for people on their morning commute!
2018 was our first year to hold BTWD Energizer Stations and we saw more than 100 cyclists at our two Energizer Stations. Last year was a great success thanks in part to generous support from many of our community partners. This year we are aiming for ten BTWD Energizer Stations to reach close to 500 first-time and veteran cyclists in our community.
Let us know you’re going to ride your bike to work on Bike to Work Day (BTWD) by responding to our BTWD Facebook Event Page!
